I have no self control.
In the near future, I'll be bringing Avalanche into MU (well, assuming my app passes). I'm going to be making him 24/5, so right around the range of the whole Pyro/Iceman/Rogue/Kitty et al. group. So I thought I'd go ahead and send out feelers to see if people would be interested in friendships! I not so subtly am a fan of canon Avalanche/Pyro friendship, so hopefully people are willing to put up with him in game canon :D.
He's quiet, a skilled bartender, loyal, easy-going, sympathetic to the Brotherhood, simple, easy to lead, enjoys destruction. Of course, once I finish up the app and put it in, there will be more details, but just initial reaction? Is this a terrible idea?

So in my Drama class instead of turning in our proposals for our term papers we went over two that people had saved on thumb drives to use as examples and critique.
Mine was one of them.
It wasn't too bad. I really needed to know if what I had done was the right kind of idea, and I liked my ideas within the theme I picked (The American dream seen through the plays Fences, Death of a Salesman and Angels in America), so getting my grammar ripped apart in front of everyone wasn't all that painful. I guess apparently my idea changed partway through, and I could now either stay with the topic I proposed, or write about the ideas of public vs. private personas and how society dictates who we should be. I don't know what to pick. If anyone wants to read what I have and have chats about it with me, I think that might be helpful. It's only 4 pages long. It would be cool to hear about what other people think of my ideas who haven't read those plays to see if my arguments are complete.
I got my History midterm back today, too, and was ONE freaking multiple choice question away from getting an A on it. UGH. He really really liked my essay, though. Yaaaay for prepping for the right sample topics two hours before the class started. I should be happy with that B+, though, considering I barely studied for the dang thing. Coasting will not be an option once I stay at the 300-level classes.
Besides that I put my name into the snaps cup. I'm about to rush off to work, but I'll comment on other peoples' when I get home. I don't feel as shitty this week as I have the last...month or so, but extra love always helps, right? |

I just changed my journal header/bg so it wasn't Halloweeny any more. It almost took me as long to pick a background as it did to make the header, and I'm still not sure if it's perfect. I'm very pleased with how the header turned out, though. It almost made me late for school, but it was worth it.

I don't think I'll be able to hit 30,000 words before the end of November because 1) I'm really busy, 2) I don't do a lot of logs, and 3) I'm lazy, but I'm going to try! But yes, rpwrimo.

Dear asshole who stole my bike outside of work tonight,
FUCK YOU. I really relied on my bike and came to know her particular ways over the three years that I have had her. She may have only been a $200 bike from Costco, but I loved her. She was how I got to school and work, and I really came to appreciate not having to rush to work immediately after school because I had to transfer busses. I have the money to get a new bike, but I was planning on spending it on a new laptop. Now I can't. Thanks, dick.
